To restore or not to restore vintage paint by numbers? Are they works of art? We do not believe so. They were arts and craft kits, mass produced for leisure in the 50's, 60's and 70's. We are also excited to experience them with the same vibrant colors they once had and have fun painting them as well!
Here are two identical PBN's. Notice the differences in how the paint changes over the years. Some look entirely different in color. The light blue on the left image is purple in the image to the right. And the medium blue-grey on the left image is light grey on the right.

Look at how the color changed in the building on the left compared the the image on the right. Notice the doorway, chandelier, shadow on the overhanging roof and hanging tree branches. All of them have faded differently.

With a collection as large as ours, it's important to try and stay organized...which isn't always easy. We have undergone several different methods along the way. This room is the largest collection of unfinished pieces. But we have several other storage locations as well.
